Michelle Goldhaber
Biography
Michelle Goldhaber (she/her) is currently a rabbinical student at Hebrew College in Newton, MA, focusing on multi-faith leadership, nature spirituality, peacebuilding, and “spiritual first responding”. She holds an MDiv from Harvard Divinity School (2005), an MSW from Simmons College (1998), and a BA in Music and Comparative Spirituality from Boston University (1996). Michelle spent many years living and working in Ukraine — first on a Fulbright grant in 2006, then independently, and eventually with the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. In 2008, she founded a non-profit, Seven Stones International, Inc., which focuses on experiential peacebuilding and relationship building. Michelle has also lived in Jerusalem and spent many years facilitating Israeli-Palestinian listening circles and teambuilding adventures.
Michelle is passionate about the outdoors, and currently works as a facilitator for Outward Bound, and also as a meditation guide for various communities in the Boston area. Known for thinking outside the box and thriving in fluid and dynamic conditions, Michelle brings versatility, openness and compassion to her work. In her free time, she can be found surfing, swimming or polar plunging in the ocean, walking her dog Millie, and connecting with friends and family. She is delighted to be a part of the Office of Chaplains and Religious Life at Brown, and to learn from her colleagues, peers, supervisors and students, serving the community in any way she can.
